ABOUT ME
I’m Sam, a CGI artist from Manchester.
As a lifelong petrolhead with a passion for design, I discovered that I could use 3D Modelling / Rendering as a way to work with cars without any barriers due to physical limitations. Being a full-time wheelchair user due to cerebral palsy, this seemed like the perfect solution.
So in 2020 I created @ sh3dart. It started off as a bit of fun, a way to learn new skills and meet new people, however this quickly escalated into me producing images weekly for a growing community. Not only has it helped me get my work seen but it’s encouraged me to continue with my passion project of creating a complete, accurate, digital version of a Classic Mini.
MY WORK
As a ‘93 Rover Mini owner, I wanted to render my vision for my car, so I began 3D Modelling a Classic Mini and well, we can say that quickly spiralled out of control and become one of the main focal points of my brand. The drive behind my work comes from wanting to be able to create unique computer-generated images featuring Classic Cars as a focal point. Whether I’m creating a photo-real visualisation for a client or an artistic design for displaying in a frame.
I want my work to bring the history of classic cars and craftsmanship to life through the power of 3D Rendering, while using my passionate Classic Cars to transform them into stunning, immersive artworks, pushing the boundaries of creativity and precision. Hopefully, somewhere along my journey, I’ll remind everyone not to take life too seriously and help them remember that old cars are all about having fun!
